Aloe Vera Products
Even though I promised myself that I would never let this happen again, it happened. I returned from a day at
the beach with an unmerciful sunburn. So much for my 50 SPF sunscreen! I guess there are just some of us in this
world who have no business being out in the sun for longer than 40 minutes. I just have too much fun to swim in the
ocean, but I certainly do not have any intentions of staying indoors my entire life, especially not when the rest
of my family wants to have an enjoyable day at the beach. With that said, I know I have to get serious and start
applying my sunscreen religiously every hour or so. Meanwhile, I have to do what I can to prevent my skin from
peeling. According to conventional wisdom, that means making an investment in some aloe vera
products (the gel in particular), and apply the soothing gel all over my poor back.
Did you know that common aloe vera products have been used for over
2200 years for soothing minor burns and other skin problems? The stuff is even mentioned in the Holy Bible! Talk
about a long history of pain relief. But I have just recently found out that there are a lot more natural
aloe vera products in the market than just the standard gel that we use to help calm those
unmerciful sunburns.
All aloe vera products come from one particular plant, known as the succulent plant, which looks kind of like a
spiky ball of cactus. The gel from the leaves of this famous plant are known to have wonderful healing properties
that are used for both skin care and cosmetics. I just found out that there is a brand new market for aloe vera
products that you can actually ingest. You can drink it as a juice or take it in tablet or capsule form, and many
people say that it's great for helping with minor digestive problems or for naturally boosting your immune
system.
Whatever the scientific reasoning may be, I'm a huge believer in aloe vera products. There's nothing that feels
better than grabbing a big bottle of that cool green gel out of the refrigerator and applying it on a raging
sunburn. The tremendous cooling effect is almost instantaneous, and I know that using it often will not only keep
me from peeling, but it will cause the burn to fade away quickly. And it's also reassuring to know that I am using
a product on my skin that is free of chemicals, all-natural, and has been around for over a millennium. It is an
excellent skin care choice that I feel good about.
